OMBC Race #1 Mohican Wilderness

Throw it all at me! The only things missing from this race were an earthquake and a tornado. All four Team Soupcan members took to a cold, rainy, snowy, sleety mudfest that at the post race celebration was agreed to be one of the harshest races in worse conditions that we have ever done. This course has the hardest climb in Ohio and another on the backside just as equally terrible and the weather beatdown resulted in pushing the bikes up about 90% of both hills. Wes, John and Jason did the three lap open vet race and finished 3rd, 4th and 5th and beat up on plenty of young dude experts. I tackled the sport vertan category and finished 5th for the day and damn near cracked top ten overall. But this race made a man out of anybody who attempted and finished it.

Mo-Ho Warm up.

Team Soupcan took to the beautiful Mohican Wilderness for a couple of warm up laps before the first team race next Sunday. Everyone seems dialed in and ready to go. This race promises to be one of the toughest of the year. Three laps and close to thirty miles on some of the funnest terrain ohio has to offer. We wil be racing in our OCC kits for this one but soon will have our Team Soupcan kits to sport for the rest of the year!
